2007 World Series of Poker
The World Series of Poker has grown by leaps and bounds these past few years. You can check UnknownPoker for a schedule for the 2007 WSOP. Events begin in June, and finish mid-July.
New events have been added, like the mixed holdem games. There are now events like 6-handed No Limit Hold'em, and several different HORSE events. The big $50,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. that Chip Reese won will be back again this year, and is expected to play host to a who's who of professional poker players.
Online Satellites
It has become a badge of honor to send players to the WSOP to represnt you if you are an online poker room. The big rooms will be sending as many players as possible, so you can look forward to many online satellites being held at the following rooms.
Of course other online poker rooms will be hosting online satellites as well, so if you're already a member of any online poker room, they'll probably be contacting you with information on how to win a WSOP seat in 2007.
Circuit Events
Besides the main attraction that is held annually in Las Vegas, there ae WSOP Circuit Events that are held throughout the year at various Harrah's properties.

History and Information on the World Series of Poker
Harrah's has set up their own website about the world series and you can visit that for more information about the land-based events dealing with this year's tournament.
UNLV has set up a website dealing with the history of the "big game", so for more perspective on the event, including a list of all the past winners, visit their site. They also have a list of links that can point you in the direction of more specific information concerning poker and the world series.
