World Poker Tour
The World Poker Tour has taken the television sets of America by storm. This series of high buy-in tournaments, and the interesting way they have been presented on television have made stars out of the hosts and players alike. Mike Sexton, and the lovely Shana Hiatt have become hosehold names. At least in households where poker players live.
Online Qualfiers
Just about every poker room online will be hosting qualifiers to the various WPT events. If you're interested in qualifying online, I would suggest visiting one of the rooms that's tightly associated with a set of pro players because those rooms value land-based poker events pretty highly.

The WPT's actual website now has what they're calling the WPT Academy, which is a huge information warehouse where you can find tons of strategy tips. You can also find a searchable list of every hand ever played at the final tables of any event. That's HUGE.
So, you can search for say, every occurance of pocket Jacks from early position, and see how the pros played the hand, and how the hand played out. It's a fantastic learning tool!
