Triple Draw Poker
There are two versions of Triple Draw poker being dealt online. Both versions are lowball games, where the lowest hand wins the pot.
You can choose from Deuce to Seven where flushes and stragiths do count against you. Aces are also considered high in that game, making the best possible hand 2,3,4,5,7 (or deuce to seven).
The second version is Ace to Five, where the Ace is considered low. Like most 8 or Better games, in Ace to Five straights and flushes do not count against you. This version is more like the other poker games where you can try to build a low hand.
Yet another version of the game that is available for online play is a four card lowball game called Badugi. It is being dealt at Doyle's Room.
Gameplay:
- The game involves at most 6 players.
- The player left of the dealer posts a small blind bet. The player 2 spaces to the left of the dealer
places a big blind bet.
- Each player is dealt 5 cards.
- The first round of betting occurs, beginning with the player to the left of the big blind.
- Players are given the chance to discard and replace cards in their hands.
- A round of betting takes place.
- There is another round of 'drawing' (discarding and replacing cards).
- A round of betting takes place.
- The third, and final 'draw' takes place.
- The final round of betting occurs.
- Players 'showdown' their cards, and the lowest hand wins the pot.
