Royal Vegas Poker Review
Royal Vegas, once one of the leading Prima Poker rooms, has closed their doors. Their players have been folded inot PokerTime, another room on the same poker network.

Royal Vegas is a part of the Prima Poker network of poker rooms. And, they are arguably
the best of the lot. With Lou Kreiger as their host, they are offering a full line up of tournaments and contests.
This is the poker room that had a FreeRoll tournament with a trip to the World Series of Poker
as first prize. They gave away a trip to the WSOP. Granted, you had to be a real money player to qualify,
but still, with no entry fee, that's a great prize.

I still play at Royal Vegas, but not regularly. It's not because of anything the room has done, or failed to do. There is simply only so much time in a day, and with tournaments at other rooms I want to enter, and bonuses from several rooms to earn, my time at the tables is spoken for. I did, however, write this review of the poker room some time ago . . .
The poker room offers the same standard tables and features as the rest of the prima network rooms. The games include Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, and both 7 and 5 card stud. Actually 5 card stud is not offered most places, so if 5 Card is your game, this is a place worth visiting.
The features include detailed play stats (% of flops seen, etc.), player notes, hand and banking histories, and find a friend function.
The tables have micro-limit play (nickel ante games), as well as high roller tables ($200/$400 holdem tables). They deal no limit and pot limit ring games, as well as tournaments. The buy-in for the no limit games seems to be minumum 10 times the big blind, maximum 100 times the big blind. Also, they have full and short (6 player) tables, so you can shoose the level of action you want by choosing the appropraite table size.
There are single and multi-table sit and go tournaments running throughout the day.
They have One Dollar Tournaments
You can play a 10 man texas holdem tournament for a dollar ($.75+$.25). When you add in they're $10 No Deposit Bonus, that means that Royal Vegas probably offers the best way for new players to get into real money poker playing online. Sign up, get $10 on the house, and that will cover the cost of ten holdem tournaments.
One thing to be mindful of, if you have an account at any of the other prima poker rooms, use the same screen name when opening an account at Royal Vegas. Using different screen names is something they interpret as an attempt to have multiple accounts, and they see it as a sign of bad things. At best it will cause headaches down the road.
If you haven't signed up at any of them, pick any name you like. But remember, mongoose is taken .
