No Download Poker

The first thing you have to do to play poker online at many of the poker rooms is download their software. And, for the most part, that's not a problem.

But, what if you are at work and want to get in a couple of hands during lunch break? Or what if your machine is down and you're borrowing your roommates? There are many scenerios where downloading programs isn't an option. So what choices do you have?

There are several rooms that offer no download poker experience, and most of them are Mac/Linux compatible. If you are looking to get some time in at the tables, but can't be adding more programs to a computer, visit one of the following rooms.

Pokerroom.com
- Poker Room.com has been dealing games since 1999, making it one of the older poker rooms on the internet. They have millions of registered players, although you won't find them all online at the same time.

Having been in the business for a long time, you'll find all of the standard features and promotions. There are freerolls every day, bonuses for new players, bonuses for regular players, satellites to the major land-based tournaments, guaranteed money tournaments, and on and on.

They also allow players to set up their own private tournaments, giving you control over the payout structure, whether the event is scheduled or a sit and go, the type of game and buy-in and more. Now, players can gather at private tables and play tournament style poker over the internet, thanks to Poker Room.com.

HoldemPoker.com
- Holdem Poker is a second room on the Pokerroom.com network. If offers much, but not all of the same features as PokerRoom.com. But, it does offer it's own set of bonuses, it's own schedule of freerolls, it's own player rewards points. So, if you're looking to add a second room to your list of places to play while you are on the go, HoldemPoker is one of the sites you can investigate.

Pacific Poker
- Pacific Poker is the poker arm of the incredibly popular Casino On Net. They offer a no download version of their room, although it lacks free tables last I checked.

The great thing about Pacific Poker being related so closely to the casino is that it brings casino gamblers into the poker room. So, the players at the tables are more likely to be gamblers having fun and testing out the poker tables, than hardened, skilled poker sharks. This has helped earn Pacific Poker a reputation as a poker room with unusually "soft" competition.

Crazy Poker.com
- Crazy Poker just came out with a new Flash-based version of their card room that you can play without downloading a thing. Add to that the offer of $10 Free with No Deposit and you've got a poker room worth mentioning.

Last I sw on the Crazy Poker website, you had to request the $10 free with an email to the support staff. It is not automatically deposited into your account, so keep that in mind should you try to get a few hands in one the road and on the house.
