There are more poker message boards than I care to imagine. Many are filled with good advice on the
games of poker and where to play them. Others just take up space. On this page you will find links to the better
boards out there. And yes, there is a chance there are some great boards out there that are not listed. If I've overlooked
your favorite hangout feel free to send me a line and let me know about it.
Poker Prophet
is the official poker message board of Online Poker Rules. They have (or will be having) in forum freeRolls open only to members, and a member rewards system where frequent posters earn poker goodies.
One interesting place I've encountered is Gidders.com. It's a membership site, so you have to pay to have access to the forums. That may sound odd at first, but the forums are built around a series of several dozen instructional videos (each up to an hour long).
I've watched the sample video, and it's both entertaining, and filled with insight, which means the world as far as poker strategy information. It's about a thousand times easier to learn from than a Sklansky Novel.
It was the first "poker training" site I came across, and it's definitely cool.
Rec.poker.com - a reader for the poker newsgroup. Many threads, much information. Lots of "noise".
2 + 2 - the home of two plus two publishing, and a very active board.
Poker Forums - at CardsChat.com. They have thousands of posts that center on poker mostly, but there is also discussion of other card games.
Online Poker Room Reviews while not really a message board, is a website
where you can leave your review of a poker room. It does give you a chance to let other players know what your experience with a particular room
has been like, so I thought I'd list it here.
PokerForums.org - Large online poker discussion forum. Discuss poker strategies, techniques, and more!
The Poker Forum.com...Poker information source for poker players everywhere. Includes: forums, tournament info, rules, articles, book reviews and more!
United Poker Forum - Got a Poker question? The United Poker Forum has the answer!
Related to the message board is the Blog. There are plenty of poker bloggers, and I haven't had the time to check many of them out yet. I'll be posting links to blogs here.
Poker Prophet Blog - a story about how to change poker from a pastime to a profitable adventure.
Poker Chip's Blog - these things are interesting. Not exactly a recap of the world of poker as it unfolds itself, more a series of topics from Stu Ungar to beating a Pot Limit game.
