Maui - $15,000 Progressive Sit and Go

Progressive Jackpots and tournament poker have just met. Several of the rooms on the iPoker network are offering a set of progressive jackpot poker tournaments. Players are invited to play a series of Sit and Go tournamnet, and if they can rack up enough consecutive wins, they win the progressive jackpot.

One of these progressive jackpot poker tournaments is the Maui $15,000 Sit and Go's. The cost of entering one of the Maui tournaments is $5.75. Any one who can manage to win five of these tournaments in a row will take home the $15,000 jackpot.

$15,000 is the starting money in the progressive. The actual jackpot climbs, so a player may win much more. If no one claims the jackpot after four weeks, the jackpot begins to grow. $3,500 is added to the total every week, until someone finally wins five consecutive tournaments.

Like the other progressive jackpot tournaments being run on the iPoker network, the Maui tournament series is not automatically tracked by the poker room. You will need to contact the poker room with the dates, times, and perhaps tournament numbers of the games where you won. So, keep some kind of records on your victories. That is somewhat bothersome, but all in all, a small price to pay for $15 grand.

There is a 30 day window on the tournaments, so although you don't have to win all your tournaments on the same day or in the same week, there is a time limit in place.

Unlike the Dirty Dozen tournament series, there is room for a seond place finish in the Maui tournamnets. While not as thrilling as winning $15,000, if a player manages to place either first or second in five consecutive tournaments they will be awarded a $200 prize. Add that $200 to the winnings from palcing first or second in five consecutive tournaments, and that makes playing those tournaments time well spent indeed.

You can play in the Maui Progressive Sit and Go tournaments at the following poker rooms:

Titan Poker where new players can receive a 50% sign up bonus when making their first deposit. If you sign up at Titan, be sure to use Bonus Code: rules to take advantage of the sign up offer. The max bonus is $200.

Noble Poker also runs the Dirty Dozen tournaments. In fact, I first heard of these tournaments through Noble. Check the top of the page to see if they are still running the free $5 accounts for completing the 2005 Poker Survey. If they are, you can use that free money to start playing. Or, you can take advantage of their deposit bonus for first time players. They too run a 50% deposit bonus. At Noble the max bonus is $100.
