There is a set of poker rooms online that deal guts poker. You can play Survivor Guts, where the player with the lowest hand at the showdown matches the pot. Or, you can play Monte Carlo Guts, where every losing player in the showdown matches the pot. Superior Poker is the room I recommend downloading if you're interested in playing some guts online.

Rules of Guts Poker

Guts is a simple three card poker game. The name comes from the fact that players who play their hand and lose at the showdown must "match" or replenish the pot (up to a pre-set maximum). That means with a $25 pot, anyone who plays their cards and loses antes $25 at the beginning of the next hand. It often takes "guts" to play your cards when the pot is large.

There are two varieties of Guts being dealt online. Monte Carlo Guts is the version where ALL the losing players each replace the pot. Survivor Guts is the version where only the player with the lowest hand replenishes the pot.

Hand Rankings:
Because Guts is a three-card poker game, the values of the different hands are not the same as in most poker games.
Highest to Lowest
- Straight Flush
- Three-of-a-Kind
- Straight
- Flush
- One Pair
- High Card

Game Description:
  1. Each player is dealt three cards
  2. Players choose to either play their hand (stay "in"), or fold. Everyone's decision is announced at the same time.
  3. Players show their cards, with the highest hand taking the pot. Losing hands then each replace the pot. In Monte Carlo Guts ALL players replace the pot, and in Survivor Guts only the LOWEST hand replaces the pot.
Notes:
- If you choose to be "Out", you are out for the hand but not the remainder of the round.
- If all players in a round go "Out" of a hand the pot is carried over to the next hand and all players ante for the next hand.
- If there was at least one winner of the previous hand and no players who declared themselves "In" but lost, then the round is over.
- New players and players sitting out the previous round may join at the start of the new round.
