Freeroll Poker Tournaments
A freeroll is a poker tournament where there is no cash entry fee, but the winners receive real cash or prizes.
Practically every poker room online has a series of freeroll tournaments that they offer to their players. Usually there is a series of daily events with modest prize pools. Absolute probably runs the most daily freerolls, about 40 or so every single day.
Lucky 7's Freeroll Series
During December and January the folks at PokerTime are running a series of freerolls with $7,000 up for grabs. The great thing is that these are open to anyone, so you don't have to acquire any specific number of raked hands in order to qualify for a seat.
Of course, anytime a freeroll has a couple of thousand for the prize pool, expect it to be more popular than one with a $50 prize pool. So, sign up and show up early.
You can expect almost any online poker room to offer freeroll tournaments, but if you have Absolute, Dream Poker and Ultimate Bet on your machine, you'll be looking at about 50 freerolls a day. That should be enough to keep you busy.
