Empire Poker Review
Empire Poker had been involved with Party Poker, sharing game servers so players from either room can play against each other. Party Poker bought Empire Poker for roughly 200 million dollars. The email I received from Empire notifying me of the change stated that business will carry on as usual at Empire.

Session:
Empire offered a reload bonus in August of 100%, up to $100. During my session I was taking advantage of that bonus, and needed to enter the bonus code when making my deposit. My neteller purchase immediately appeared in my poker account, the bonus was automatically deposited in my bonus account. In order to release the bonus I needed to play 1,000 raked hands.
It took nearly 11 hrs of two table play at the $1/$2 tables to complete the raked hand requirement. The bonus was then automatically released into my player account.

Room Tips:
- the same software as Party Poker, so the same tip applies. Make use of the hand histories by clicking the hand # in the upper right corner. In the history you can see the cards held by any player participating in the showdown, even if the cards appeared to be mucked at the table.
Game Selection:
Empire Poker shares the same ring game tables as Party Poker, which means that table selection is nearly the same. The same games are offered, and for the most part, the same table stakes apply.
One difference is that Empire keeps lower limits for their limit texas holdem games, topping out at $30/$60 instead of Party's $100/$200.
Another thing to mention is that Empire does not have beginner's tables like Party does. So, even though the two rooms share most of their players, they do not share everything.
Tournaments:
Empire runs their own tournaments for the most part. The Sit and Go tables are shared with other rooms on the IGM poker network, but the multi-table tournaments are independant. Empire does not run STEP tournaments.

Players Rewards:
The room has a player comp system in place, where players earn points for time spent at the tables. These points can be used for everything from logowear and poker books to buy-ins for special tournaments. There are rewards systems in place for both ring game and tournament players.
Liscences & Policies:
The room policy for minors is that no one under 18 is allowed to play.
Empire Poker is licensed and regulated by the Government of Gibraltar. Their games are tested by iTech Labs
