Dream Poker - December Freeroll Events
Dream Poker has probably become my favorite of all the Prima Poker poker rooms. They sent me an emailer this morning outlining their December Holiday promotions, and there are more than enough freerolls to catch someone's eye. So, I thought I'd post the information for anyone that's looking for some time away from the hustle of the holidays, and is finding themselves on the typical "holiday budget" that sets in this time of year.
Lucky 7's
Most Wednesdays in December you'll find a $7,000 freeroll going off at Dream Poker. They start at 2 in the afternoon Eastern time, so keep that in mind. But, $7,000 is a great prize pool considering there is no cost to enter the tourney, and that it goes off weekly.
They've also set up a couple of freerolls to reward their depositing players. The first one of these I'll mention is the . . .
Dirty Dozen
This is an updated version of the Dream Poker Dirty Dozen, which is not at all the same as the Titan/Noble Poker Dirty Dozen.
There are 12 qualifying rounds per month, and the Top 50 players from each round move on to the Finals. The prize pool is $5,000, and the top finisher receives a "Dream". When you join Dream Poker, you are eligible for their dream rewards program, so the winner of this tournament will have whatever dream he/she choses fulfilled (up to $3,500).
I'm a depositing player at the room, so I'm not sure exactly what the criteria are for non-depositing players. I think they're allowed to enter into the qualifiers without any issue, which is good. But, if they win, and go on to the final event, they'll be required to make a deposit and do some playing before the event takes place.
I think this is the way taht Dream Poker makes a prize like this something that is a reward for their real players, but also keeps it friendly enough to allow new players into the action as well. Sort of a hybrid solution to who gets to play and who doesn't.
iPod Nano Events
There's a series of freerolls that happen four times a week where the prize up for grabs is an Apple iPod Nano. These tourneys are for depositing players, as a way to reward the regulars at the room. You can find them under “MTT” / “Freeroll” in the tournaments Lobby.

$5,000 Shopping Spree
In a pretty creative move, DP is offering a freeroll tourney where the prize is a $5,000 shopping spree. This is one of those tourneys that is for their regualr players, so there's a raked hand/make a deposit kindof requirement to enter.

More Tournaments
These are just a couple of the upcoming events at Dream Poker. They've bumped up the value for some of their guaranteed prize pool tournaments, and added some extra incentives to some of their other games as well. So, the action they've added to the room isn't limited to just the freeroll tables.
