Big Bet Poker Review
Rest in Peace Big Bet Poker
Big Bet was a young poker room that had stable software. I was able to play there on
my windows ME computer. That same computer used to freeze up regularly at Ultimate Bet and Party Poker back when poker rooms never had more than a few hundred palyers at a time.
At Big Bet Poker there were often only one or two games of Texas Hold'em going on at any point in time, with peak traffic
barely, if ever, reaching over 100 players at once. Still, I sat in on more than a handful of games here (usually during lunch)
and was able to finish my sessions ahead. Cashing out winnings was never a problem.
They No Longer Accept Real Money Play
According to customer service the poker room is offering "fun play". But if fun play is all you are after,
there are more players and more chances to find a game at the major poker rooms. If you are interested in a new place
to try bonuses and some new promotions, Big Bet is not worth a visit.
For those who have been wondering why bother to keep up a review to a room that is no longer in business, or who at least went out of business, I think it's mostly so people know that poker rooms can go out of business.
I had plenty of time to cash out my account, and was paid before the room stopped taking real money wagers. As far as I know, they ended their days like men, making sure every player was taken care of. That may not always be the case with other rooms that shut their doors.
