Welcome to Online Poker Rules, your source for poker information. Here you can find information on everything from rules to kitchen table home poker games, to where you can enter million dollar tournaments online.
I play poker both "live" poker and online poker, so you will find information about both styles of the game here at Online Poker Rules. For the online player, I have reviews of the top online poker rooms, including:
I also have information on freeroll tournaments, how to join an online prop team, and even where to find online poker room bonuses that do not require a deposit.
Poker Rules
There are several rules sections on the site. The most popular pages cover breaking tied poker hands. There are also sections on the basics of playing poker, and rules for the more popular games like Texas Holdem and 7 Card Stud.
Besides covering the more popular games, I have rules for some of the more exotic poker variants. Those are the games that are usually only played at kitchen tables during friendly poker nights. They often include things like changing wild cards, extra draws, split pots, or even altered decks.
Also included on the site is a complete list of Robert's Rules of Poker, written by "poker coach" Bob Ciaffone. He has worked as a casino consultant, and is a regular contributor for Card Player magazine. If you need an official ruling, use Robert's Rules as an autoritative resource.

Strategy
There are sections of the site that cover poker strategy. In the "beginning holdem" section you'll find articles on starting hand selection, table position, pot odds and the like. The "intermediate" section addresses things like how to deal with a table full of loose/agressive players.
And, there is information on Omaha Poker as well, the oft neglected cousin of Texas Holdem. Since HORSE and dealer's choice style games have started becoming more popular (they are even offered online at Full Tilt), being able to hold your own during the Omaha 8 rounds is becoming a valuable skill.
Please take the time to bookmark Online Poker Rules as strategy articles and room reviews are constantly being added.
New Feature: I've just added a Pot Odds Calculator in both a web browser format, and a downloadable version as well. So, you can look up pot odds information both online and off.
Recently Added: Glossary pages for the terms Bluff and Cold Call, including examples, strategy discussion and even videos on the topics
